Family Ministry Assistant | Part Time [25hrs]

As a Family Ministries Assistant at Central, you will support the Family Ministries Pastor in bringing the vision of our Family Ministries to life. You will help create safe, engaging, and spiritually formative environments for children ages 0 through Kindergarten, support Sunday and midweek programming, coordinate volunteers, prepare curriculum, and assist with family-focused events, ensuring every detail helps children and families connect to God and each other.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Help and support Central Camp staff to plan and execute summer camp programs
• Oversee coordination of summer camps including kids camps, youth camp, and youth overnight camp
• Support scheduling, training, and supervision of summer staff and volunteers
• Be the go-to person for volunteers and campers during camp weeks
• Assist with volunteer screening and registration processes
• Promote a fun, safe, and faith-filled environment for all campers
• Lead and support interns and volunteers spiritually through devotionals, prayer, and connection
• Lead and engage large groups of children in games, Bible stories, worship, and prayer

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Oversee one of our camp teams across kids’ day camps, youth day camp and youth overnight camp
• Lead and support volunteer camp staff, ensuring a safe and positive camp environment
• Lead games, activities, and daily camp programming for children and youth
• Manage camper behaviour and provide guidance and pastoral care as needed
• Assist with staff scheduling and weekly camp operations
• Support weekly communications with parents and camp updates
• Work closely with camp leadership to ensure smooth execution of all camp programs
• Support campers and volunteers in creating a safe, positive, and faith-filled environment

• Provide certified first aid care for staff and campers throughout all camp programs
• Respond to minor injuries and manage health-related incidents as needed
• Complete incident reports and follow all safety and safeguarding procedures
• Maintain first aid supplies and ensure emergency kits are fully stocked
• Support basic administrative tasks related to camp safety and incident tracking
• Work closely with camp leadership and take direction from the Camp Coordinator and lead staff
• Assist camp staff as needed in daily operations and camper support
• Support a safe, positive, and faith-filled environment for all participants

• Operate audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems during camp sessions
• Support live music, speaking, videos, and presentations (e.g., PowerPoint)
• Capture audio and video content for highlight reels and social media use
• Assist with basic administrative tasks related to camp operations
• Work closely with camp staff to ensure smooth technical execution of programs
• Assist camp staff as needed in daily operations and camper support
• Support campers and volunteers in creating a safe, positive, and faith-filled environment
