Young Families

Helping you reclaim your HOME as the spiritual centre for your family.

At Central, we know how challenging parenting with intention can be. That’s why we are dedicated to helping you reclaim your home as the spiritual centre for your family. Do you find yourself with questions no matter what stage of parenting you’re in? We have groups at Central that are designed to help you connect with God and with other families that are facing the same struggles and triumphs. Join us at one of our many groups created to help you grow in your own faith journey while also leading your child(ren) to a personal relationship with Jesus.

If you have questions or need to connect in any way, reach out to our Family Ministries team at nextgen@centralcc.ca

SUMMER CAMP 2025

Central Niagara serves as the host venue, providing a welcoming space where kids can learn, play, and grow. Community Crew, a local non-profit dedicated to supporting children, brings its passion for caring for families and ensuring every child feels included. Central Community Church adds its experience in creating dynamic and value-driven programming, ensuring each camp week is filled with fun activities, creativity, and connection.

Together, we’re committed to offering an unforgettable summer where kids can build friendships, gain confidence, and adventure every day in a safe and supportive environment.

FAMILY GROUP NIGHT | WEDNESDAYS | FEB 5 - MAR 26

Here at Central, our vision is to help you make your home the spiritual centre for your family. Join us on Wednesday for our Family Group Night: a night to set aside for your family to connect with God and other families on the same life journey.

Each Wednesday starts with dinner in our cafe together from 5pm-6pm ($12/adult & $6/child).

Then, from 6pm-7pm, join one of our parent groups, which include our Young Families Community Group, Adoptive + Foster Community Group, and Single Parents or Single Fathers Community Groups. Each group is led by our trained volunteers who are also on a family life journey like you. These groups run for 8-week sessions in the fall, winter and spring at Central.

Childcare is provided for children ages birth to Grade 5, and Jr. &  Sr Youth are available from 6pm-8pm.

For more information about each group or to register, click one of the links below.

YOUNG FAMILIES

Are you parents of younger children? Do you need connection with other families who understand your journey and the inherent joys and challenges of parenthood? Join us for teaching, conversation and support as you navigate life as a family.

ADOPTIVE + FOSTER FAMILIES

Are you adoptive or foster parents? Do you need connection with other adoptive and foster families who understand your journey and the inherent joys and challenges of parenthood? Join us to share fellowship, conversation and support as you navigate life as a family.

SINGLE PARENT COMMUNITY

As a single parent, you face unique challenges and we want you to feel understood, supported and not alone. You are absolutely welcome at our Young Families Community group, where you can join us at any table, including our table of single parents.

SINGLE FATHERS CONNECTION

From kids to stress to struggles with faith, adjusting to life as a single dad is a challenge not everyone understands. Whether you have full, part-time or joint custody, we invite you to navigate this new normal with a God-first approach, friendship and support. Connect with other single fathers for a personalized discussion in the Young Families Group.

MOM'S GROUPS

We also offer year round Moms + Kids Meet-ups. In the Spring and Fall these take place in our group leader’s backyard, and during the colder months at Central in Auditorium B on Wednesday mornings. These groups are casual, friendly spaces where moms and kids can do life together and support each other in the challenges of motherhood. Kids have space to run and play while moms can chat and encourage one another.

For moms of older kids, we have our Gather Moms group that meets once per month as a social time for moms of faith to share food and fellowship together. It’s a fabulous group of women who understand the joys and opportunities that parenting older kids brings to a family. For more information about any of our Mom’s groups, click below.

PARENT CUE [APP]

One of our goals here at Central Kids is to partner with families and help you as you lead your child in the ways of God. We understand how much your children mean to you, and we want to be a part of your child’s growth in their faith. One of the ways we can do this is through the PARENT CUE APP. Each Sunday in our Kids’ Experience, your child will learn a new Bible story. With the Parent Cue App, you can connect with your kids about what they learned on Sunday throughout the week. Not only that but there are four devotionals each week and a monthly memory verse that you can do with your children all found on the app.

To download the Parent Cue app, click below, then follow the prompts to add Central Community Church.”
