HOW TO REGISTER
All families must register their children for any of the licensed childcare options in Niagara through the Child Care Registry, a centralized waitlist system operated by Niagara Region Children’s Services.

Where am I on the waitlist?
While we cannot give you an exact number, we can tell you that our waitlist is quite extensive. We have over 600 applications currently. Make sure to keep your profile active/up to date and when a spot does become available, we will contact you.
Do I have to be a Christian to attend Childcare Central?
No, you do not. We do accept children of all different religions or faith backgrounds however please note that we do incorporate Christian stories/bible verses into our planning and pray before lunch.
When are you closed, and do I pay for stat holidays?
- We are closed all Statutory Holidays and from December 24-January 1st. We also close for 2 staff PD Days in the year, which will always be Easter Monday and the Friday before Labour Day weekend.
- Yes, you still pay for the STAT holidays if your child is scheduled to attend that day. You are not charged for the Christmas holidays and the staff PD Days.
My child has certain allergies or is a picky eater. Can I bring in my own food?Item #4
- We have our lunch catered in by Little Ones Lunches. We have had many different allergies and they have yet to be unable to accommodate them.
- It is not uncommon for children to be picky eaters. We have lots of different types of snacks and we find that children will eat if they see their friends eating. “Monkey see, monkey do” as the saying goes.
What are class ratios?
- Infants are 1 teacher to 3 children.
- Toddlers are 1 teacher to 5 children.
- Preschool is 1 teacher to 8 children.
What qualifications do the staff have?
Our staff are all qualified professionals. They must have first aid training, a valid Vulnerable Sector police check and their immunizations up to date. Our staff are also loving, kind and creative individuals that make the children feel special and excited to come back day after day!
