How We Plan To Reopen

Reopening Procedure

In light of the Government’s most recent announcement allowing churches and places of worship to reopen their building at a 30% capacity, we have made the decision to reopen our doors on Sunday, July 5th, at 30% capacity.

In order to ensure we stay within the guidelines set out by the Government, we will require anyone interested in joining us in-person for a LIVE WATCH PARTY at 10:30AM to PRE-REGISTER for a FREE TICKET.  Everyone must present a ticket in order to enter the building.

Registration will open every Monday at 9:00AM for the following Sunday Watch Party.

Please note: All of our Sunday Experiences will continue to be streamed online in the same format you have become accustomed to over the past few months. This will allow anyone not comfortable returning to the building to still continue to watch online from the comfort of their own home.

Before Registering

Please read through the following guidelines that will be in place in order for us to reopen:

  1. EVERYONE MUST PRE-REGISTER. Please use the link below to reserve your seats for our in-person “WATCH PARTY”. We will have 70 units available each week. What’s a unit? A unit is a seating area in our main auditorium that can seat 1-4 family members FROM THE SAME HOUSEHOLD together in a 6 foot section. You must book a minimum of 1 unit. If you require space for more than 4 people, please book 2 units.
  2. SELF ASSESSMENT. Before arriving on Sunday morning each member of your household must review the following questions. If anyone answers YES to any questions, we do ask that you stay home and enjoy our Online Experience.
    • Have you had a cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, and/or fever above 38˚ C / 100.4˚ F in the last 72 hours (3 days)? (Please note fever resolution must be without the aid of fever-reducing medication)
    • Have you had contact with anyone with these symptoms in the past 14 days? (Cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, and/or fever above 38˚ C / 100.4˚ F)
    • Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?
    • Have you traveled anywhere that has a significant number of new COVID-19 cases, or is considered a COVID-19 “hot spot” in the last 14 days?
    • Do you live with, or have frequent contact with, someone over the age of 70 or who has a serious underlying health condition?
  1. CHECK IN. Upon arrival we ask that everyone park in the east parking lot. You will then line up with everyone from your household at DOOR 1 (it will be marked with a LINE STARTS HERE sign). We ask that, while in line, you observe the 2m/6ft physical distancing markers on the ground. Once inside you will be asked to scan the ticket you received by email. This can be on your phone or a printout. You will then be directed to the lobby for entrance into the main auditorium.
  2. AUDITORIUM SEATING. Our hosts will direct you to your row. Each row will be marked by a number. In that row you will be asked to remain in the taped off section. Staying in this taped off area will keep all our guests within the appropriate physical distancing requirements.
  3. EXITING THE BUILDING. At the end of our LIVE WATCH PARTY the host will dismiss each section separately through their assigned exit door. We do ask that everyone follow the instructions of our host to allow for a safe and orderly exit from the building.
  4. GENERAL INFORMATION: While we are all excited to get back to church, we do ask you to adhere to the following:
    • Please use provided hand sanitizer upon entry to the building
    • Avoid physical contact. This includes hugs, handshakes, high five etc. A friendly “HELLO, it’s great to see you” will go a long way.
    • We ask that you follow the directions of our staff and volunteers while in the building. They are there to keep everyone as safe as possible.
    • Please follow the directional signs and arrows as you make your way through the building.
    • Stay together with your family household, ie. Kids/Youth must sit with parents.
    • Be sure to use proper hand-washing after using the washroom.

7. UPDATE (June 30, 2020) – MASKS REQUIRED FOR ENTRY

  • Out of respect, and for the safety of all our guests, volunteers, and staff members – we ask that everyone entering the building wear a cloth face covering. This is one simple way that we can help to keep everyone safe.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a LIVE WATCH PARTY?

For the month of July and August when you attend our in-person free ticketed event you will be joining others in the auditorium to watch our ONLINE EXPERIENCE together. This will be the same experience you would see in your home.

I cannot register online, does that mean I can’t attend?

Please call our office at 905-937-5610 ext 221 to reserve a ticket by phone.  At check in your name will be on our will call list. Everyone must be pre-registered to enter.

Am I required to wear a mask?

At this time we are asking everyone to wear a non medical face covering. If you are not comfortable doing so we would kindly ask that you continue to watch our Online Experience from home.

Will there be any type of Kids Program provided?

As per Government guidelines we are not able to provide any kids programming at this time. This includes having to keep our nursery area closed. Should you choose to bring your children with you, they will be required to sit with you in the auditorium. Change tables can be found in the Family Washroom in the lobby if needed.

Will I be able to bring my giving with me?

Yes, our giving kiosk will be open before and after each experience. We do ask that you try to use it before entering the auditorium. Physical distancing markers will need to be followed and machines will be wiped down after each use.

Will the café be open?

Unfortunately, at this time due to health regulations we are not able to open our café to the public.

Can I bring my own coffee?

While our preference is to keep outside food out of the building, if you do decide to bring your own coffee, we ask that you take your garbage with you as you leave. This will just help our cleaning team with enhanced cleaning requirements, to focus on that rather than picking up garbage left behind.

Will washrooms be open?

Washrooms will be open if needed. We will be limiting the number of people in the washrooms at one time to 2 people. This will allow for more enhanced cleaning and disinfecting throughout the morning.

I’m a frontline worker, am I allowed to attend in person?

For frontline workers, it is our understanding you have been provided and correctly worn PPE while on the job.  As well, unless your employer or government ministry has implemented specific restrictions on your time, outside of work there are no other restrictions we are aware of that would prohibit you from joining on a Sunday morning.  That said, if you have or are aware of an outbreak in your specific workplace or have been exposed, where there might be a risk to others, we ask that you enjoy our Online Experience in the safety of your home.

I heard we are not allowed to sing in the building, is this true?

At this time Government guidelines outline we are not able to participate in singing as a group. However we will be showing our ONLINE EXPERIENCE which will include worship. We ask that you use your discretion during this time as  everyone is required to wear a face covering.
